We were having a bit of fun this afternoon with Elle as we watched football on the couch. Mommy was blowing in her face and we think she liked it but sometimes it was hard to tell.

Cleveland Rocks! (Part 1)
I spent this past week in Cleveland and since I was working overnights, I had a couple of afternoons to wander around..

I have a strange attraction to stadiums. No matter how good (or bad in this case) a team is, I can't help but take a picture of their stadium. Here is the home of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Browns Stadium. It's so weird not to have a corporate sponsorship pasted on the stadium I had to look it up to make sure I didn't miss it.

The weather started to get bad by the end of the week and the winds were picking up on Lake Erie. It had worse waves than most of the ocean beaches I have been to.
Cleveland Rocks! (part 2)
I continued my tour of the waterfront over to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

This was the only picture I was able to smuggle out from inside the museum. They haven't yet followed the lead of EMP and allowed cameras inside. I actually had to leave my camera at coat check while I was inside but the ZZ Top car was in the lobby.

Outside, they had Johnny Cash's tour bus parked and available for tours. Unfortunately, the tour guide must have been on his lunch break.
Cleveland Rocks! (Part 3)
Late in the week, I wandered into downtown Cleveland to check out their other Stadiums. When the parking attendant asked me if I was going to Quicken Loans I said no, I'm headed to wander around the stadiums. He gave me a funny look but I didn't think twice till I turned the corner to see...Quicken Loans Arena, the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Aah, back to the old corporate buyout.
Right next door is the Home of the Cleveland Indians, Progressive Field, formerly Jacobs Field.

As I was headed back to the car, This building caught my eye. I have no idea what it is but it was still awesome.

100th day
Since I was little I have always been obsessed with birthdays. One of my earliest memories was when we were living at the Farm house. Mom let me call Aunt Pat and Uncle John and invite them over for dinner. I remember telling Aunt Pat it was my birthday and I wanted them to come over. Aunt Pat knew full well it wasn't my birthday but when they showed up she had wrapped up two books for me! It was so sweet of her to let me pretend it was my birthday with presents even! I have always believed in the week'o birthday and still do!
Lana my good friend is Korean and in her culture the 100th day after a child is born is a very important day. You can read more about it here. Today Lana brought Elle an Asian Pear, an adorable fleece outfit, and marinated Korean Beef to celebrate. We will make the Korean beef this weekend when Colby is home and I seriously can't wait, it smells amazing! I decided I wanted to throw Elle her own 100th day celebration. It is crazy to me that it actually has been 100 days since she was born. I bought Elle the book "Awake to Nap" by Nikki McClure. Who happens to be from Olympia!
Showing off her new Bumbo and Japanese lantern dress from Gia. I know Japanese but I did ran the dress by Lana and she approved!
Preparing for our celebration
"Do I look 100 days old?"
Part of the tradition is to set varies items out in front of the baby and see what she reaches for. This is suppose to foretell her own future. I set out a plate for health, Sophie the giraffe for veterinarian, computer cables for IT (like Daddy), ribbon for long life, a pen for scholar, camera charger for photographer, fabric for seamstress, and a cookbook for chef.
Elle studied and stared for a while but eventually grabbed the ribbon and then the cable and then the giraffe. So Elleanor should live a long prosperous life as a IT vet!

Camera Shy
Elle has become aware of the camera and no longer feels the love, I think she is feeling a little shy due to her thinning hair. I tried to reason with her and get just one smilely picture for Daddy but the first three show her level of amusement...
Get that out of my face!
Seriously?
Finally I was able to get a semi-smile but it was once she fell asleep on the bed.
Colby is traveling this week so the two of us are kickin' it. Colby was great on Sunday, helped me clean, do the dishes, wash laundry, and bbq'd so I would have nice dinner's each night. I think he was worried I would eat Thai every night :) Hope everyone had a great Monday!

1st Quarter
Elleanor has now officially turned 3 months old. We can't believe it's been a quarter of a year! With that, we decided that she had definitely outgrown her Moses basket, don't you agree?
This is her real outfit from today.

A little salute out to her peeps

All dressed up with nowhere to go but bed.
We still love this hat!

Looking back over the past three months, we have already learned so much from this little piece of heaven.

Looking back over the past three months, we have already learned so much from this little piece of heaven.
What we have learned in this short amount of time:
Packing your lunch at night means 5 more minutes to cuddle with Elle in the morning
Mommy is now trained to get up at the sound of Elle's feet slamming on the mattress and the fierce sucking of her wrist instead of a cry
Bath time is fun, and it keeps the plants watered
We have the best family, friends, and neighbors on the planet
Changing diapers isn't really that bad, and sometimes kind of funny
Never underestimate how much you can get done during a 30 minute nap
You can't prepare yourself for the immense joy of hearing your baby laugh
A wink and a smile will get you anything from Mommy and Daddy
I love to smile at Mommy and Daddy
I can stick my tongue out and mimic eating during dinnertime
I can laugh in three different ways; belly, squeal, and gasp
My hands are no longer foe, but friend
I like to nestle under Mommy's chin when she gets home from work
I pass the sniff test every night after bath time
Cooing lets me tell Mommy and Daddy about my fun day at Amy's

Photo shoot
Colby and I had another busy weekend. Friday night I attended a jewelry show, it was really hard to contain myself but I only purchased a brooch that is super pretty and will look awesome with a dress, on a necklace, or in my hair. See purchase justified!
Any who, Saturday we headed into Seattle to visit my friend Michelle, who got engaged 9/9/9! How cool is that? Michelle and Bill plan to be married 10/10/10, even sweeter, huh? Michelle's ring is amazing and totally her, perfect! Bill had it designed and I meant to take a picture of it but instead Michelle turned our visit into a photo shoot with her new camera. Here are a few of the pictures. I hope to meet up with Michelle this coming weekend to burn a cd with all of them as they are awesome and she took at least 100 pictures!
Little wink for the camera to get things started!
Family photo
Michelle "vintigized" this picture so it has the 80s feel to it!
We have a ton of pictures to post as we did the Light the night walk Saturday as well as pictures from the beginning of September which is over in two days! Can you believe it?? I just can't get over it and that Elle will be 3 months old tomorrow!
