Sophie's birthday at preschool
Kimmie and I were lucky enough to take Sophie to school on her special day at preschool. We took her out to lunch and then dropped her off. We got to meet her teachers and see her classroom. The sign had a spot for her to fill out what she wanted for her birthday. She said she wanted her very own camera.
Taking her to school was the easy part, picking her up proved to be another story entirely. After dodging the tricycle racetrack, we spotted her in the little pink house. It was funny to see her reaction when we got there. Luckily, Tracy armed us with the secret trick to get her home (a snack waiting on the car seat.) It was a fun afternoon and we were honored to help.
Aw Shucks!!
Sorry to be a bit "corn"ey but here are some pictures from a couple of weeks ago.
Mom and Dad O brought us some fresh picked (by the hands of Bruce) corn and we spent an afternoon shucking.
It took a little practice, but we finally figured out how to use our Food Saver.
"Corn-o-copia" - sorry, all this corn must be going to our heads :O)
Here is an inside look at the new freezer that will be the corn's home for a while. We are hoping for an Eggo endorsement for the subliminal advertising.

White River, here we come!
Mt. Rainier was very prominent and demanded every one's attention as we waited to head into White River for SANTANA!!
Daddy-O loves Santana so when I heard they were going to be in town, I knew we needed to get tickets pronto!
The music was amazing!
Not a bad view for $10 tickets!! Okay $10 +$4 handling + $5 parking surcharge...

Ladies and gents turn up your sound system to the sound of Carlos Santana and the GMB
When they played Maria, Maria everyone began singing! It was so cool to see them live and now I can say I have seen #15 of the the top 100 greatest artist in history.
We will be going to White River Amphitheatre more often as it was super quick in and out. Great location for a concert!
Here is a video of Carlos playing "Black Magic Women"
Got a black magic woman
Got a black magic woman
I've got a black magic woman
Got me so blind I can't see
that she's a black magic woman
She's trying to make a devil out of me

Garage Sale
We had really good luck at our garage sale this weekend to raise money for the Light the Night walk. The weather cooperated and we had lots of things donated for the sale. Sorry for the poor picture quality, Kim had the camera for the day and I used the cell phone for these pics.
Meanwhile , in a different part of the state
While they were driving to a baby shower in Rainier, Kim and her mom Terry were rear-ended. Both are okay but definitely never a fun experience. Kim was lucky enough to see the other driver coming (he was looking down at a map...and they say cell phones are dangerous) and managed to pull as much out of the way as she could without going into oncoming traffic.
The Altima took it's fair share of the hit but we are all impressed with the way it held up to the mean ol' truck.

Cougar Pride
The Cougars may not have won on Saturday but we still got pride! Colby and I watched the game on TV but I have to share the pictures of Aunt Wendy and Uncle Donny enjoying themselves at the pre-game festivities!

Wedding season is officially over
The final wedding in our 2008 season was the Weiner Wedding at Beaver Lake. It was a beautiful ceremony performed by Kim's Native American Uncle. It was very cool to sit under a totem pole.
The sun broke through the clouds right in time for the ceremony.
Kim and Scott cutting the cake, they also had a yummy cupcake tower!
Top of the cake was very cute! Painted to look like the bride and groom
Later that day....
We watched the cougar game with fellow alumni Holly, Brian, and Tanner. Colby was allowed to come too as he wore a coug shirt :)As close as I get to Manhattan
I am not really the adventurous type while and I am on the road and I REALLY hate driving in New York traffic. After almost getting in countless accidents driving from my hotel in Queens to two buildings and back, I wasn't exactly up for sightseeing. I just admired my view out the hotel window and left it at that. Here you go...
