Two for the price of one...

Elle had her big 9mth appt last week. As you can see she was very excited and woke up extra early for it!

Waiting for the Dr. was a lot of fun. The paper table cover suffered the most damage. We were very luckily Elle didn't notice the blood pressure cuff behind her.

Elle stats were pretty similar to her 6mth appt. Height is in the 70th percentile, head 80th percentile, and weight in the 50th percentile as well. The full report will come on her 9th month picture post, which I hope to have up before she turns 10 mths :)

Turns out this visit was a two for one as Elle had the start of her first ear infection. I told the Dr. I thought she wasn't feeling very well so he looked her all over and agreed she was getting an ear infection. I was so happy that he was able to see it and prescribe antibiotics as we were leaving for vacation two days later.

I forgot how much I love the smell of amoxicillin! Elle loved it the first night and kept reaching for more… Well, the next morning was a different story….

Note: it is 5:30am and my reflexes are not as good as they use to be! Moments after this picture was taken Elle decided she didn’t like the amoxicillin and proceeded to spit it on me as well as knock the whole (only one dose of the ten day doses) out of my hand and all over our beige carpet. Needless to say I did not make it to work that day. Colby was a trooper and pulled the carpet cleaning machine out of the garage and started to work at the big pink blob on the oh, so beige (picked when we were childless) carpet at 5:33am. Most of the bottle was empty so I had to call the Doctor’s office when they opened to have a new prescription sent in. I am pretty sure the nurse was saying rookie move, first time mom, rookie move!

Oh, I did get to sample my beloved amoxicillin and I don’t think it is as good as I remembered, sad.

Cute pictures - nothing like the paper of a doctor's office table to play with.

So glad you caught the ear infection early!

If it makes you feel better the twins did the same thing to me with the amoxicillin (spilled all over their bedroom carpet). I too had to call and get a new prescription filled...it happens to the best of us :-)
