Sunset's

Colby was playing around with the camera and took some awesome sunset pictures.  These were my four favorite ones!

Doesn't this look like the opening picture from the show "China Beach"

Devil's punch bowl

The house was located about 500 feet from the Devil's punch bowl.

View from the Otter crest lookout

The low tide was at 6pm so we headed out around 4 and were able to explore a lot of the beach in front of the house.

Sunset and a  happy baby!

Happy Valentines day!

Sunday we woke up to a storm brewing at sea which blew over right after breakfast.

The views from the house were amazing!  Thank you Grami and Poppi for letting us come along!

Poppi enjoying sometime with Gia and Elle.

Saturday beach time

Saturday morning we woke up early so we could get to the house!  Sophie and Ceci couldn't wait to explore!

Starfish sighting!

The path to the beach from the house. Looks like Sophie can just run to the beach but wait!

Here is the rest of the path... It had been washed away and we had to scrabble down the rocks like billy goats which the girls just loved!

Waterfall and two very happy girls!

We waited the Olympic games and played in the hot tub once dusk was upon us.  It was a very relaxing trip!

Oregon Trail

We just got back from our trip to the Oregon coast with Grami, Poppi, Tracy, Sophie, Ceci, and Gia!  Grami and Poppi rented a house at Depoe Bay and invited us all along.  To break up the trip we all agreed to stay in Portland Friday night.  It worked out well and thanks to Daddy's points we were able to stay at a nice hotel.

We tried out the pool but Elle did not want to have any part of it!  She was quite content playing on the bed with Mommy instead.

First trip to Woodland Park Zoo

We got a zoo pass for Christmas this year and plan to make the trip into Seattle once a month.  These are pictures from our January trip with Holly, Brian, and Tanner.

It was raining the entire time we were there so not a lot of animals came out to play.

The monkeys had the right idea.

Tanner and I posed as Snow Leopards!  GRRR

This is how Elle spent most of her time at the zoo... Asleep!  I think all the sounds were soothly sort of like Daddy's snoring :) hee hee

Present for Daisy and baby boy

I attended a shower for our other neighbor Daisy. I have to say I do love our neighborhood! I decided to make two onesies for her present. One was a long sleeve onesie with a tie on it :) The other one is for Valentine's day and it is a bee that has hand embroidered wings, stinger, and says "Bee Mine"

mmm, muffins

One of my New Year's goals is to make a part of every present I give. January was a challenging month for this goal as I had one birthday and a baby shower to attend. For Amy's birthday I made pineapple puff muffins and earrings for Elle to give her in the morning.

The earrings I made as well but I don't want to post them as they maybe in a present to you too! Well, only if you are a girl :) Kim from my office gave me the cutest cupcake party favor kit which I decided to use one to hold the earrings.

The bag and presentation I thought turned out well and 100% handmade! YEAH!! Only 11 more months, 18 birthdays including one 1st!! 5 babies, 3 holidays, 2 weddings, and 1 3rd anniversary! I can so do this!!

Fresh bread and egg salad

After discussing my desire to be more healthy by eating less processed food our wonderful neighbor Amy gave me a recipe to make my own loaves of bread along with a starter kit of supplies. I made my first loaves at the beginning of January and now it is a Sunday ritual. It has to be the easiest and best recipe ever! Literally it take 1 hr from start to finish and you end up with two perfect loaves!
