One Month

Elleanor is happy to be finally turning one month old today!!! Seriously, we can't believe it has already been that long. Time is moving too quickly, Colby has to return to work on Tuesday.
We are amazed at the changes in both Elle and ourselves. Life has slowed down in our home and we are taking the time to enjoy every moment.

Nobody Home

Gamma and Gampa, I came to your house but nobody was there. I tried watching TV while I waited but, as usual, I fell asleep. I can't wait to come back tomorrow.

Hips don't lie

Elle had her appointment for the doctors to take a closer look at her hip sockets. Even though she wasn't breech, she has some pretty good "frogger" legs

They made us strip her down to her birthday suit including the diaper which they wouldn't let us throw away in the room. Elle decided to show them and left a big suprise in their nice heated towel. I guess they were asking for it. She does love a nice comfortable towel (see earlier post)

Everything turned out to be just fine and Elleanor can keep practicing for leap frog with the cousins.

I see you...

Elle likes to put her foot up in the air when in her moses basket to let us know she is there.

Milk Drunk

Back to the hard stuff!

First Bottle

At Elle's two week appt the Dr. recommended we start giving Elle bottles of expressed milk so that she will be prepared when I have to go back to work. It went well. She apparently isn't biased as to where her milk comes from. Sniff, sniff :(

Take me out to the ball game

Mommy and I went to Daddy's softball playoff's last night. I wore my baseball hat in honor!

They won all three games and were named Champions! Here is Daddy hitting a single.

Run, Daddy, Run and he ran all the way to first base!

Heyyy Youuu Guyyyys!!!

Apparently, the Booby Twaps on Goonies were scarier than we all remembered!!!

Redneck multitasking

This is a prime example of why I married Colby. He is able to do so many things well and all at the same time.

Sophie was showing off her rockstar moves.

Cousinly Love

Give me a dude.

We were pretty sure they were plotting their revenge once they catch up to Soph and Ceci in size.
The queen Gia spent the weekend imparting her weeks of wisdom on the young Elle.

The spa is wonderful...

Miss Elleanor may not be very fond of her bathtime, but there is nothing sweeter than a nice warm towel and her hair being brushed.

Thank you Amy for the beautiful towel. As you can see, Elle approves!

I have arrived

Today was Miss Elleanor's two week appointment. She was giddy with excitement when leaving the house this morning in anticipation of what her measurements would be. Drum roll please....

Yes, she is eating well! Elle was at 7lbs 12oz on Monday July 6th. Today she was 8lbs 12oz putting her in the 50th percentile. Momma was worried she would have an extremely large noggin. In fact it is quite small, 25th percentile. As expected she has grown from 19 3/4 to 21 inches, putting her in the 75th percentile. Don't tell Kim but this doesn't mean she is in the 150th percentile. Good ol' cougar math and competitiveness!

Elle was very satisfied with her numbers and took a nap to celebrate!

Elle's first trip to the holy land

Well, it took two whole weeks but Elleanor finally made it to Costco for her first time. Obviously, you can see she doesn't quite have the enthusiasm for it that some of us do.

Just checking out a size comparison. She will have to grow quite a bit to be a match for warehouse size items.

Guess who found her thumb tonight...

Really, she was just really hungry and didn't care what ended up in her mouth. Colby gave her a pacifier and she was just as content with that while she waited for mamma to finish her dinner.

Color everywhere

Here are a couple of the many wonderful bouquets of flowers we got while in the hospital.

Ken and Sydnie also brought a live bouquet that has been distributed around the house

And finally, here are some of the flowers that we have planted around the house that have been blooming lately...

All together, it has made it wonderful being around the house. We really appreciate all of it.
