I can ride my bike with no handle bars
Okay, so maybe I can't ride my bike with no handle bars but I plan to work up to it! Today Colby and I took out our brand spanking new Christmas present bikes! It was so much fun riding a round the neighborhood and lake!
Colby got the hang of riding right away, while I was another story... I promise I didn't ride the entire time with my eyes closed but a few times as I was scared!
The fog was lifting off the lake as we rode by. It was a beautiful scene.
Riding back into the development I was feeling much more confident. We plan to pick up helmets the next time we are out. Thanks Mom and Daddy O, Tracy, Wes, Sophie, and Ceci for the kick butt bicycles!
Blue Sky! We opened up the windows when we got back from the ride and aired out the house! Sure smells like spring! Yippee!

Just having one of those days
Today was one of those days when I didn't even want to get out of bed as I knew work was going to be bad. Okay, so I may have contributed to my own demise with the famous words "just ship it". Let me state for the record it was well past 4pm on Friday when these troublesome issues arose and I pretended that Monday would never arrive and I wouldn't get caught in my web of "just ship it".
Flash forward to Monday morning.... Work was, as predicted, terrible and I spent the first few hours correcting my "just ship it" moments. When a grower called I knew I was in trouble! I didn't think 3 o'clock would ever come.

When we arrived home tonight I found three lovely packages on our step! 1. Colby's passport, which he had left on a flight home from Edmonton. The passport took it's own trip to Sacramento, thank you Horizon flight attendant! 2. A lovely card and book from Megan! Thank you so much, I haven't read this book, so I am excited to start it. 3. A Harry and David's gourmet food basket, I was in love! I assume this is all for the baby or at least that was what I explained to Colby :) I plan to try it all tomorrow while Colby is in Boston. Hey, the kid has to eat! Thank you Mom and Daddy O!! Tomorrow is already looking up!

So this is what the North Pole feels like...
I was in Grande Prairie, Alberta yesterday and I had to take this picture on my way to the airport.
It might be hard to see, but yes, that says -17. Standing outside for 2 minutes to get gas in the rental car was torture.
I guess we were lucky, it was -29 last Friday. I tried to look for the picture I took a little over a year ago when I was in Little Rock, AR. The temperature on the car there said 117.
Aaahhh, the pleasant experiences I have on the road sometimes :O)
