A movin' and a shakin'

8 months past so quickly I don't remember even blinking! It is getting harder each month to get Elle to sit still long enough for a picture on the quilt.

Enough hair to actually warrant a headband!

Oh...shoes!

If you could see her feet you would see Elle is now missing said shoes!

Shark attack! She kept inching her way closer to the camera until she was breathing on it!

8 month milestones:
- I am working on sitting up on my own
- I can pick up small objects with my hands, which I actually own!
- I can roll front to back
- I am not a fan of shoes but do love the taste of socks!
- Daddy and Momma took my on my first vacation to the Oregon Coast! I did great traveling in the back seat with Mommy and Grami.

7 months came and went

We are really good at taking Elle's monthly picture on the quilt but not so much on posting. I plan to retro this back to February so it is in order for prosperity's sake!

This outfit happens to be one of my beary favorites and just so happens we were given it in 3mths and 6mths sizes. I went ahead and bought it in 9mths and 12mths figuring why the heck not! Someday we will do an entire post on this outfit over the year!

At 7mths:
- I grew more hair
- My second tooth on bottom came in
- I can sit up for as long as I want
- I love my rattle, the noise it makes is awesome!
- I haven't met a fruit or veggie I do not like
- During the day I get to hang out with Lucky the puppy and I squeal when I see any puppy now
- Momma and Daddy love to take me bowling, yet I still haven't managed to stay awake through the whole night

For your enjoyment: A little bit of Lemon juice

Happy 1st Birthday Giavanna!

Posted by Picasa

In the mean while...

As the cousin Monkey's were sleeping prior to the party, my little monkey was just too darn excited to take a nap! Instead she found this ball of Ceci's and quite enjoyed it!

I am pretty sure she said it tasted like strawberry's!

Party prep for Gia's 1st Birthday

Long time no blog. Sorry for the long delay in posting! Now that Elle is crawling like mad it has become difficult to breakaway and blog. It seems every time you walk out of the room even for a nanosecond Elle finds something to gnaw on and lately it has been the furniture!

A few weeks back Elle and I headed up to Birch Bay with Grami to help Gia celebrate her first birthday! Tracy did an amazing job with the decorations!

Pictures of Gia for the cupcakes as well as to hang up around the room.

All dressed for the party!

The sweetest Gia cupcakes ever!

The dessert table was all set up and ready to go well before the guest begun to arrive.

Trip two to the Zoo

Our second trip to the zoo was a success!  It didn't rain the entire time we were there!  All the animals came out to meet Miss Elleanor!

I love Woodland Park zoo as it is more of a wildlife reserve in the sense that all animals are together that would be in nature.  Well, except the mean ones, they are seperate.  I guess no one wants to see a lion take down a zebra as it would be a hard one to explain to the kiddos.  Note the Monkey in the tree, ducks on the left, and part of the Zebra's tail.  Hippos were also in this same exhibit.

Don't you just want to cuddle up with this leopard?? So pretty and mellow!

This is what I think would have happened if  Bad Goat bred with a deer... Ah, bad goat, I really don't miss you at all!

Elle checking everything out!

1st Easter, success!

As you probably have figured out from the previous post we weren't home for Easter.  Luckily for Elle, the Easter bunny knew where to find her at the condo in Port Townsend!

We sit Elle down after she woke up and let her figure out what all the hype was about.

Elle quickly manuevered around the loot in search of her first victim to attack...

The little smartie she is, she found the rubber duckie that was disguised as the Easter Bunny.

I am pretty sure she giving the bunny a sloppy kiss as a big Thank you!

Over the ocean and thru the woods to Port Townsend we go

It was a rough day at sea for our little ferry. We watched the car in the upper deck sway back and forth as the owner didn't remember to set his parking brake.  It was a bit distrubing to say the least!  I tried to convince Colby to go up there and set it for them but he didn't think it was a good idea as I probably wouldn't have been able to bail him out until Monday since it was a holiday weekend...

Elle utilized this down time for a little snack. I think her leg was up trying to balance herself as the ferry was really rocking about.

All better!

A rainbow greeted us at Kingston!

We had two detours between Kingston and Port Townsend both were due to trees down over the road. One of the detours was onto the road "Egg and I". I wanted to stop and meet someone who lived on it in hopes they would invite me to stay there someday.

This sign was about halfway down the Egg and I road, perfect for an Easter weekend!

Seriously could there be any cuter of a sign!  I want to live on this road!!

Two for the price of one...

Elle had her big 9mth appt last week. As you can see she was very excited and woke up extra early for it!

Waiting for the Dr. was a lot of fun. The paper table cover suffered the most damage. We were very luckily Elle didn't notice the blood pressure cuff behind her.

Elle stats were pretty similar to her 6mth appt. Height is in the 70th percentile, head 80th percentile, and weight in the 50th percentile as well. The full report will come on her 9th month picture post, which I hope to have up before she turns 10 mths :)

Turns out this visit was a two for one as Elle had the start of her first ear infection. I told the Dr. I thought she wasn't feeling very well so he looked her all over and agreed she was getting an ear infection. I was so happy that he was able to see it and prescribe antibiotics as we were leaving for vacation two days later.

I forgot how much I love the smell of amoxicillin! Elle loved it the first night and kept reaching for more… Well, the next morning was a different story….

Note: it is 5:30am and my reflexes are not as good as they use to be! Moments after this picture was taken Elle decided she didn’t like the amoxicillin and proceeded to spit it on me as well as knock the whole (only one dose of the ten day doses) out of my hand and all over our beige carpet. Needless to say I did not make it to work that day. Colby was a trooper and pulled the carpet cleaning machine out of the garage and started to work at the big pink blob on the oh, so beige (picked when we were childless) carpet at 5:33am. Most of the bottle was empty so I had to call the Doctor’s office when they opened to have a new prescription sent in. I am pretty sure the nurse was saying rookie move, first time mom, rookie move!

Oh, I did get to sample my beloved amoxicillin and I don’t think it is as good as I remembered, sad.

Happy Easter From The Beach

Elle was preparing for today's Easter egg hunt.  She managed to find Mommy's basket from Grami and the big ball from Mommy.

We hope everyone has a great Easter and we have lots of updates once we find a more reliable internet connection.
