Who dat?

We had another ultrasound today to check out baby girl. Looks like she has her gloves up to protect her face. I figure this has to make Uncle Marc proud :)

After she relaxed a bit it she went back to sucking on her wrist. Hard to tell from these pictures but she has long eyelashes and starting to get a full head of hair. Baby S is in the 90% percentile with a weight of 4lbs and is expected to weigh in around 8lbs at birth.

The Dr. also made us a DVD but I couldn't get it to upload as I am technically challenged! Colby will have to give it a shot on Thursday when he returns from Houston. We start our birth classes on Thursday, I am sure we will have a story or two to share! I am getting so darn excited! Only 8 weeks to go!!

You know your wife is pregnant, when..

We went to Costco for groceries and some how Kimmie was able to convince me we needed both jolly ranchers and pickles... Only 12 weeks to go!

Neighborly love

Our next door neighbors have been really excited about the idea of a new playmate. Last night Colby and I left them a message.

She is sticking her tongue out at us. We foiled her plans to hide until birth.

Parenting lesson number two, you have to have more patience than your child.

Parenting lesson number 2.5, bribery works! Kim had a little Coca-Cola on the way to the appointment and our little girl loved it. She spent the entire time licking her lips and jumping for joy during the scan.

First parenting lesson

Baby S has decided to remain a mystery... The cord ran the length of the baby preventing us from seeing it's cute face and gender. It actually looked like it was sliding down a fireman's pole.

Lesson learned, baby will not perform when you want it to. I am sure right now it is high kickin' in all it's naked glory. Baby S is very healthy and quite smart already apparently! At this point we will not get another opportunity to get a look until it's birthday but if that changes we will let you know.

G day is upon us!

Tomorrow February 23rd is G day! We are so stinking excited to find out what Baby S is! Today we did the wedding ring test.

This an easy baby gender prediction method to try. Take a pin, needle, or wedding ring and attach it to a thread or strand of hair. Hold the dangling item over mom to be's belly while she is lying down. If the needle or wedding ring swings in a strong circular motion, you will be having a girl. If it moves in a to and fro motion like a pendulum, you will be having a boy.

It predicted a girl. However, the poll here along with the Chinese calendar predicted boy so we are back to 50/50.
